What To Expect From Rose Tico In Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker

Imahe
4 hours ago When we met her in Star Wars: The Last Jedi , Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose Tico was serving as a mechanic within The Resistance. However, not only did a lot happen in that movie that resulted in nearly all of The Resistance being destroyed, but a year will have passed between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker , and when we reunite with her in the latter movie, she’ll be much higher up within The Resistance hierarchy. In addition to the Triple Force Friday preview event showing off the many toys and merchandise for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker that will be available for purchase soon, some of the characters’ costumes were also showcased, which came with new details about what we can expect from said characters. Here’s what was said about Rose Tico (via SFX Magazine): Although Rose Tico was worse for wear at the end of Star Wars: The Last Jedi due to risking her life to save Finn, she was back up on her feet soon after, and in the year since then, she’

5 Spider-Man: Far From Home Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

Imahe
5 hours ago From the first time that Stan Lee appeared in the first X-Men movie and Cyclops joked about yellow spandex, it seems that any movie based on a comic book property was going to be full of easter eggs and references to the source material the movie is based on, as well as the larger comic, or in this case, film, universe. Spider-Man: Far From Home was certainly no exception. However, while Far From Home included a lot of references to the MCU, as well as Spider-Man's broader history in comics, there were honestly so many easter eggs for fans to catch that it's unlikely that even the biggest fan caught them all. Some of these were quite obscure or hidden in far from obvious places, but thanks to the new Blu-ray release of Spider-Man: Far From Home , we now know of a few great Spider-Man shoutouts we missed the first time around. The fact that we can now go frame-by-frame through Spider-Man: Far From Home means no easter egg is safe, but easier

Apparently Nightwing Has Been Delayed Due To The Batman

Imahe
6 hours ago It’s no secret that Warner Bros has a lot of DC Comics-related movies in development, some of which are definitely happening, while others have been static. Nightwing falls into the latter category, as even though it was announced back in 2017, there’s barely been any update on its status for approximately a year and a half. Now there’s word that the reason there’s been a delay on Nightwing moving forward is due to The Batman . According to Forbes’ Mark Hughes, director/writer Matt Reeves is using The Batman to build the foundation for not just a trilogy of films, but also a “fully realized bat-world,” which is hardly surprising given the character’s popularity. So while Robert Pattinson’s Batman isn’t connected to the Ben Affleck-portrayed Batman from the DC Extended Universe, assuming all goes according to plan, there could come an opportunity for another filmmaker to play in his bat-world. That’s where Nightwing enters the equation. Supposedly that pr

How Wesley Snipes Feels About The Mahershala Ali Blade Casting

Imahe
6 hours ago It’s almost a given that when a role as iconic as Blade is recast, the press will want to ask the original actor how they feel about their successor. In this case, it’s Wesley Snipes who’s being asked about how he feels about Mahershala Ali being the new face of the character that Snipes brought to the screen in the late ‘90s. And if you think you know the answer that Wesley Snipes is going to give to that question in particular, it might be a good idea to hold that thought for a moment and read his response below: Quite frankly, that answer is so Zen, it has us wondering if Wesley Snipes and Jeff Bridges should team up to make the ultimate chillout movie ever seen. Though if you’re a fan of the Blade franchise and Snipes himself, you probably saw that answer coming a mile away, as it fits in with his previous response to when Mahershala Ali’s casting initially broke. But as Wesley Snipes’ role in Netflix’s upcoming biopic Dolemite Is My Name has him

Gotham’s Cameron Monaghan Wants To Play A Disney Character In Live-Action

Imahe
8 hours ago Since Disney has started to make live-action revamps of their classic animated canon a huge going concern, fans have been more than eager to lend a hand in terms of casting who should play the flesh and blood versions of characters like their incarnation of Hercules . That specific example has come up because recently a random fan of Cameron Monaghan suggested that he should be the zero to hero success story, should the Mouse House ever put pen to paper and do a real world remake. And wouldn’t you know it, Cameron Monaghan himself approves of this casting, and has done so with the tweet you see below: While Monaghan, the former “Joker” of TV’s Gotham , as well as an alum of Showtime’s popular dramedy Shameless , isn’t the person to originate this fledgling rumor, his approval and retweeting of this sentiment is sure to give it the boost that it needs to go viral. This, of course, means that any moment now, you’re bound to see some sort of fan art depict

New Birds Of Prey Poster Debuts Harley Quinn’s Pet Hyena

Imahe
8 hours ago The DC live-action universe has had a fascinating tenure in theaters, full of both peaks and valleys. But Warner Bros. seems to have found its footing following the disappointing performance of Justice League , as Shazam! and Aquaman both got great reviews and solid box office numbers. The next movie set within the shared universe is Cathy Yan's Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) , which will bring Margot Robbie's titular villain back to theaters. Fans are eager to see the fan favorite Harley return to theaters, and a new poster revealed the first look at her signature pet Hyenas. Harley Quinn debuted in Batman: The Animated Series , followed by a long tenure in comics. In most versions, the femme fatale has a pair of pet Hyenas named Bud and Lou. And it looks like they'll make their live-action debut with Birds of Prey. Check out a new poster for the DC flick, which shows Harley with her laughing and dangerous pet.

5 Awesome Star Wars Projects That Add To The Experience Of Watching The Original Trilogy

Imahe
21 minutes ago Star Wars: A New Hope is a genre-pushing, medium-elevating film that stands as one of the greatest cinematic achievements we will ever know. The film would bring millions to the movies and become a phenomenon of immense cultural importance. forever etched into our hearts and memories. A film made both for the present and for posterity. Now, with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker fast approaching, it's time to look backward, to celebrate the origins of this seminal epic. But let's take this a bit further and examine projects that, Lucas-approved or not, enrich the experience of watching the original trilogy. You will recognize some of these entries, but hopefully you'll also come to appreciate the original films in ways you didn't expect. Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2003 Micro-Series) Who knew that a single line in A New Hope —uttered by Obi-Wan Kenobi-- would expand into an epic war which spanned two television shows and a slew of

The King’s Man Trades Gadgets For A Network Of ‘Cleaners’

Imahe
31 minutes ago Possibly the greatest challenge that writer/director Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman prequel The King’s Man will have to face, besides figuring out where Elton John could possibly sneak in a cameo, is coming up with something to replace the series’ usual litany of gadgets. Which is why it’s probably a good thing that rather than try to come up with some sort of World War I-era tchotchkes that could ruin a person’s day, this new film will have more of a human factor, as evidenced by actor Gemma Arterton’s Polly and a network of “cleaners." While some of these operatives do indeed have skills that could straighten your closet and keep your study straight, Gemma Arterton explained to CinemaBlend and a group of journalists who visited the set of The King's Man that these “cleaners” are more of the Michael Clayton/Ray Donovan type: Gemma Artherton’s Polly and Djimon Hounsou’s Shola seem to have quite the group of busy bees that can get them any informati

Hear Frozen II’s New Song For Elsa

Imahe
36 minutes ago Ever since Frozen first struck it big, and Frozen II was eventually announced as its successor, audiences have probably asked themselves one big question: will there ever be another “Let It Go” for their eager ears and hearts to wrap themselves around? As of today, the first rightful competitor for that title has now been named, as a clip from Frozen II’s new song for Elsa, “Into The Unknown” has just been teased in a short video. You can listen to a portion of that song for yourself in the video below, which will require skipping to 00:22 if you want to get straight to the action. Let’s just go ahead and answer that big question we asked at the top of the story by saying that yes, “Into The Unknown” does feel primed to be the big “Elsa Song” that Frozen II is looking for. Even in this small sample, you can feel Idina Menzel’s powerful vocals weaving their magic; and whether you’re a Frozen fan or not, that point can never be denied when it comes to

The Suicide Squad’s James Gunn Shares Support He Got From Marvel, Wants The DC Feud To End

Imahe
45 minutes ago Even though he’s now working with the MCU’s chief rival on the superhero movie front, James Gunn has revealed that the folks over at Marvel Studios are incredibly supportive of him working on The Suicide Squad for DC, and Gunn is advocating that DC and Marvel fans follow suit and stop feuding with one another about these companies. Starting off, here’s what James Gunn had to say about the gift he received from some of the Marvel Studios bigwigs: As you’ll see on James Gunn’s Twitter thread, his time working on the Guardians of the Galaxy movies has been beautifully chronicled in a scrapbook. Hopefully there are a few blank pages towards the end of this book where some Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 memories can be pasted. While I’m sure that the Marvel Studios leadership would like it if Gunn could tackle Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sooner, as was the original plan, it’s nice to see that they’re showing their support for him overseeing The Sui

How Much Star Wars The Rise Of Skywalker Merchandise Is Being Held Back To Avoid Spoilers

Imahe
1 hour ago This Friday is set to be Triple Force Friday. It's the day that a massive amount of merchandise is set to be released promoting three major Star Wars projects, video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order , Disney+ series The Mandalorian , and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker . Based on the preview event that I attended last week, and everything that was shown during the livestream reveal, there's a lot of stuff set to come out. Although, possibly not as much as you might think. I spoke with Hasbro's Senior Director of Global Marketing, Mike Ballog, at Lucasfilm last week and he estimated that, at least in the case of Hasbro, only about a third of the products that are being produced for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will actually hit the streets on Triple Force Friday. The primary reason that the rest of the stuff wasn't coming out, was potential spoilers. According to Ballog... Assuming that number is somewhere close to the same for the othe

Yes, Joker’s Hollywood Premiere Went Off Without Incident

Imahe
1 hour ago After earning rousing standing ovations and even the Golden Lion Award at this year’s Venice Film Festival, over the past week the major narrative about the new Todd Phillips film has been one of worry, mostly thanks to various family members of the Aurora shootings voicing concerns to the studio about their concerns over the Arthur Fleck-based film. Yet, the Joker premiere, at least, went off without a hitch. Although security was amped up for the Los Angeles premiere of Joker at the TLC Chinese Theater in the heavily trafficked Hollywood Boulevard area, the premiere basically went off without any issues of any sort. There were some changes, as there was even security in the parking garage nearby the Chinese theater. Traffic was also shuffled into one lane and cars were inspected at the event. In addition, the LAPD said that it was aware of “public concerns,” per Deadline, although the organization also noted there were no “credible threats” in the Los Ang

Halloween Kills Is Bringing Back Yet Another Actor From The Original

Imahe
2 hours ago While the horror genre has been in a renaissance for years, it's a particularly good time for fans of John Carpenter's Halloween franchise. Michael Myers returned to theaters in a big way with Blumhouse's 2018 sequel, which started a new timeline and brought back Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode 40 years after her original attack. Two more movies are on the way, starting with next year's Halloween Kills . Plenty of actors from the 1978 original are reprising their roles, and it looks like a franchise favorite is going to be appearing in the upcoming sequel. Halloween Kills looks like it's going to be extremely connected to John Carpenter's classic, as original and new actors will bring various characters back into the franchise's narrative. The latest report indicates that Nurse Marion Chambers will have a role in the sequel, with actress Nancy Stephens playing the role for a whopping fourth time. This news comes to us from H

Could A Sony Spider-Verse Crossover Be The Next Avengers-Sized Event For The MCU?

Imahe
2 hours ago As the dust starts to settle from the big announcement that Marvel and Sony will be partnering up on the Spider-Man saga yet again, there are a lot of questions that are still in the air. But if you look at the opportunities presented by this newly reunited team, there’s a pretty big one that sticks out of the pack: a Spider-Verse crossover with the Marvel Cinematic Universe proper. With the Sony Spider-Verse continuing to expand its operations, and the MCU canon supposedly being on a parallel track, it’s time that the two cousins meet in the middle and do something spectacular. And not only is this a good idea for smashing the Sony/Marvel dividing line once and for all, it’s also a good idea for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s big picture, in light of recent events. Then again, instead of just describing the argument, perhaps it’s time to actually make the case. Which means we’re now going to spin a web that’ll bring the Spider-Verse and the MCU into o

Could Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Become Quentin Tarantino's Highest Grossing Movie?

Imahe
3 hours ago This past summer, Quentin Tarantino delivered his ninth film (and, if he sticks to his plan, the penultimate too, since the Kill Bill duology counts as one) to the masses, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood , which mixed fact with fiction in its depiction of 1969 Los Angeles. The director has had a good track record when it comes to critical reaction to his movies, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is no exception, but it’s also been questioned if it could become Tarantino’s biggest commercial success. It’s been a little over two months since Once Upon a Time in Hollywood hit theaters, and as of this writing, the movie has collected $356.9 million worldwide, per Box Office Mojo. $138.4 million of that haul comes from domestic screenings, with the remaining $218.4 million showing that the flick has performed solidly in international territories. So as things stand now, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood ranks as Quentin Tarantino’s second most commercially successf
